Bond 2024 is a Long Range Plan to manage our fast growth to over 10,000 students in 10 years.

AISD enrollment has risen 82.8 percent since 2017.

Within five years, AISD student enrollment is projected to reach 8,000 students, and exceed 10,000 within ten years.

AISD enrollment grew by 451 students over the last year.

AISD saw the highest number of new home starts in its history during 2023.

The district has over 1,400 lots currently available to build on, with nearly 525 more under development.

GRADE LEVEL GROWTH IN AISD
By the Numbers

Elementary School (Grades Pre-K - 5)

  • Two of AISD's three elementary campuses operated over capacity for the 2023-24 school year

  • Elementary #4, approved in Bond 2022, is scheduled to open in Fall 2024

  • Elementary #5, approved in Bond 2022, is in the planning stages

  • Fall 2023 enrollment on the first day of school in grades PK-5 in AISD was 2,501

  • Current enrollment is now 2,673

  • Within five years, enrollment in grades PK-5 is projected to be over 3,700

  • Within 10 years, enrollment in grades PK-5 is projected to surpass 4,600

  • Bond 2024 includes Elementary #6 to prepare for future enrollment growth

Middle School (Grades 6-8)

  • Currently, Argyle Middle School serves students in grades 7-8 with a capacity of 1,300 students

  • The district’s 6th Grade Center has a current capacity of 728

  • A new middle school #1 approved in Bond 2022 is scheduled to open in Fall 2026

  • Fall 2023 enrollment in grades 6-8 in AISD was 1,273 students

  • Within five years, enrollment in grades 6-8 in AISD is expected to eclipse 2,000

  • Within 10 years, enrollment in these grades is projected to be more than 2,600

  • Bond 2024 includes Middle School #2 to prepare for future enrollment growth

High School (Grades 9-12)

  • Argyle High School in Canyon Falls opened in 2021 and has a capacity of 2,109 students

  • Enrollment at AHS in Fall 2023 was 1,527 students.

  • Within five years enrollment in grades 9-12 in AISD is projected to be over 2,300

  • Within 10 years, enrollment at AHS is projected to surpass 3,300

  • To align with the district's 10-year strategic growth plan, Bond 2024 includes projects to increase capacity at Argyle High School and Argyle Middle School, which will transition to a 9-12 high school in the future

  • To align with the district's future of operating two 9-12 high schools, Bond 2024 includes a competition baseball/softball complex at Argyle High School in Canyon Falls
